                                          Preface
India is an agricultural country and various types of agricultural
commodities are produce in large quantities. For manage of Insect
Pest, Fungal, Viral, Bacterial and other types dieases and pathogens;
various types of botanicals are required. To know about the botanical
we are started from know the history of botanicals, their characteristic
and kinds of botanical which is useful and beneficial for us is very
nesasusery. In this book we are tried to describe or covered all things
which related to the botanical insecticide and also explain its result
against field and storage insect. All the equipments and method of
extraction of botanicals (old method to modern method) which is
nessusry are described. It is highly beneficial for the farmer and
researcher. For the production of botanical it is nesuusry to know
their properties and quality that mode of action and residue effect of
mammals and human being knows very well.
We tried to write a book to provide a fundamental understanding
of biochemical properties of botanicals. In this book, the knowledge
of biochemical properties is combined with entomology knowledge.
This book discusses basic definitions, history of botanical, classification
of botanicals, method of extraction, equipment needed in preparation
of botanicals and conclusion. This book will be helpful for research
scholar, teacher, industries and farmer for their self-study and to gain
information how to prepare and use of botanicals in targeted insect. It
will also be helpful for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students who want to work
their research on botanical. Readers of this book are invited to feel
free to write us their valuable opinion, critical comments and
suggestions.
